Welcome to the Top Golden Retriever Sites Toplist of Sites!
Terms-of-Service

Introduction
The Golden Retriever Toplist is a fun and competitive means of listing your Golden Retriever website with other sites from around the world. You can add your site to the Toplist by clicking on the Add Account link that appears at the top of the screen. After you fill out and submit the sign-up form, you will be given a link that is to be placed somewhere on your website. The link is basically an HTML anchor statement that allows visitors to your site, to also visit the Toplist. Every time one of your visitors clicks on the link, your site will be "ranked" higher on the Toplist. The Toplist updates it's ranks every hour on the hour. All rankings are reset on a monthly basis.

In & Out Columns on the Toplist:
The "In" column or hits in, represents the total number of hits that came from the link that is on your site. The "Out" column or hits out, represents the total number of clicks to your site, from the Toplist.

How to Vote for a site that is on the Toplist:
There are basically two ways to vote for a site, as follows:
Please note that the Toplist will only count votes from the same user, once every 24 hours; so repeated votes from the same person, within the same 24 hour period, will Not be counted.
1). If you would like to increase the sites ranking on the Toplist, that is, make it appear higher in the rankings, simply go to the site and click on their "Vote for me at Top Golden Retriever Sites" link. Note: to use this voting method, it is important that you go directly to the site that you wish to vote for; in other words, do not bring the site up on your browser by clicking on the link that is on the Toplist. If you do, the Toplist will interpret this as a "hits out" vote, and will not count any other vote from the same user, for the next 24 hours.
2). If you would like to increase the sites "hits out" ranking, simply click on the site as it appears on the Toplist.
Note: The purpose of the above procedure is to instruct visitors on how to vote for a site; any violation of our terms of service, will result in the removal of a site from the Toplist. Users who continually vote for a site for the sole purpose of increasing it's ranking on the toplist, will cause that site to be deleted from the toplist.

Banners on the Toplist for your site:
If your site is hosted on one of those "free" hosting sites, please be advised that some of these sites do NOT allow you to read "GIF" or "JPG" files from outside of your website. You will need to check with your hosting company on this. If they say NO (you cannot read them from outside your website) we can host your banner for you. All you need to do is email us the banner as an email attachment. Please include your website title and url information.

The Operation of the Toplist:
All sites currently on the Toplist are listed according to their current rank, ten sites per page. When you initially bring-up the Toplist on your browser, the first ten sites will be displayed. To display the next ten and subsequent sites, simply click on the Next 10 Sites link that appears towards the bottom of the Toplist.
